Resume

Originally from Kentucky I studied fine art and music from 1976 to 1978 at Berea College of Arts and Crafts in Berea KY. This experience led me to travel in search of alternative methods of developing my artistic voice. My travels brought me to San Francisco in the fall of 1978 where I found a wealth of artistic opportunities.
In 1985 I began working in the field of graphic arts with Cahill and Associates. From there my desire to work at a large scale led to my involvement in the vibrant San Francisco mural movement.
From 1989 to 1993 I apprenticed with several master muralists including Gary Graham, Susan Cervantes of Precita Eyes Mural Arts and Nicolai Larsen.
In 1990 I began easel painting.
I have designed and executed mural commissions for the private sector and for such public organizations as;

1993 Americorps
1994 The San Francisco Unified School District
1995 The San Francisco Public Library
1996 The Arts Commission
1997 The Neighborhood Beautification Fund
1994-2000 Christmas in April (annual spring mural project)
